El Genina opens a new chapter for the Giza Zoo gardens
The historic gardens are being reimagined as a destination for families, wildlife and heritage, with the first phase set for December 2026.

For more than a century, the Giza Zoo gardens have been part of Cairo's family memories. El Genina sets out to keep that memory and give it a future: restored gardens, better homes for the animals and new ways for visitors to learn about them.
The first phase brings the heritage bridge, the jacaranda walks and the savannah back to life, alongside new paths, shaded rest areas and places to eat.
The project is developed by AIN Entertainment's destination team, working with specialists in animal welfare, landscape and heritage restoration.
